How to Add Movie Viewing to Your Lifestream Using Netflix

Date January 13, 2008

You got a Lifestream and you wanna let people know what movies you’ve watched lately? It’s easy to do if you have a Netflix account. Just visit the Netflix site and make sure you are logged in. Now that you are on the home page and logged in you need to find the Netflix RSS feed link. Just scroll all the way down to the end of the page. You will see a small text link labeled “RSS”. Click on this link and it will take you to an options page for several RSS feeds that they have available. Note if you are logged in, this link may work as well.

Once you’re on the RSS feeds page you want to scroll down to the “Personal Feeds” section. From here there is a link called “Movies at Home”. Clicking on that link will take you to the RSS feed for all the movies you have currently rented from Netflix. This feed will then be updated as you return movies and new ones are shipped to you from your queue.

But, Netflix feed hadn’t “pubDate” (set with shipping date) which is required for date sorted lifestream like LiFE-Line.

And I submit to Netflix to create user public profile to get attention from lifestream users readers.
