SimpleLife Lifestreaming Plugin for Wordpress Version 1.1 Released

Date December 31, 2007

It was just a few weeks ago when I mentioned this new plugin which was then in an alpha version. Kieran took the feedback provided and incorporated some of the key items into his current 1.1 release.

The two biggest challenges that were required to install the alpha version, requiring you to edit PHP code to add your streams, and creating a custom page within your template, have been removed. You can now add your Lifestream items in a friendly options page and invoke the stream either in a custom page or widget with one PHP command. So it should now be a fairly simple matter to get it installed and running.

As he continues the development effort of his plugin,  he urges people to submit comments and feedback for upcoming versions. If you run Wordpress you should give this plugin a try.

I should probably mention that there are currently some issues with PHP4 based installations. I am working to fix these currently, aim to have that done by the end of the week.

There is also a twitter bug which will be fixed in the next release.
