I discovered a new open source Lifestreaming platform written in Django that comes to us from Krzysztof Klinikowski of Poland.

He describes it as

Lifestreaming Platform, multilanguage and multiuser. Written in Django, using modern technologies, microformats friendly. Clean and beautiful.

Here is a screenshot of a user profile (click to visit)

This is an alpha release but you can download the code from Github and he has a demo version running here. You can read more about Krzysztof’s other projects and contact him here.

I came across an interview with Chris Messina today in which he discusses DiSO (pronounced DeeeeeeSoooooooo) in detail. Along with the primer he goes on to say that he is currently working on the initial implementation to be done via Wordpress Plugins.

Some initial functions include:

  • OpenID Authentication
  • Use your blog as an OpenID source
  • Discover friends services advertised on their identities
  • Authorize access to private areas via permissions

He also says that the Wordpress version should release in a couple of months followed later by support for Drupal, Movable Type, Rails, Django & more.

You can see the video below and follow more on the Diso Website
