A while back I wrote a post on creating a Lifestream using Pageflakes. At the time I had compared several startpage tools and although Netvibes had a great feature set, they didn’t offer the ability to create a public page which quickly eliminated them from the running. That is all about to change with Netvibes Universes. One major difference will be the ability to customize the pages using CSS and HTML. I can’t wait to try this in a few weeks.

This afternoon Netvibes will announce the launch of Netvibes Universe, allowing users to create highly customized versions of Netvibes and publish them for public access.
